The AI industry has a personality monoculture. The people building the most human-affecting technology in history are the types least naturally oriented toward humans. The blind spots in AI products—the bias, the hallucinations, the sycophancy, the failure to handle emotional nuance—map directly onto the blind spots of the personality types building them.
The future of AI isn’t being shaped by technology. It’s being shaped by the psychological wiring of a handful of people who are brilliant at systems and mediocre at people.
